04 Dec Grace in My Space: DIY Bathroom Remodel | Weekend Walls
Featured Project: Sarah Symonds with Grace in My Space DIY Bathroom Remodel
Sarah discovered Weekend Walls when she was looking to update her in-law’s bathroom. It had floral wallpaper, linoleum floors, dark wood cabinets and mirror/medicine cabinet; a perfect canvas for updating!
Weekend Walls can be applied to any flat interior surface as long as it is smooth, painted, dry and clean. This means it can be applied directly over wallpaper (providing it is not damaged/peeling off the wall) saving a TON of time in your project. Anyone who has removed wallpaper knows how “fun” that process can be…
Once Sarah began work, the installation process was seamless. From start to finish it took 6 hours to do the entire powder room. Depending on the size of your project, everything should be able to be completed within one or two days; you can choose to do it all at once or break it up into smaller chunks. We recommend making sure you have all the right tools before getting started, otherwise this will cause delays in completing your project!
Sarah chose one of our newest colors; Cape Cod White! We are so excited about this all white option for those who want a clean, rustic look for their space. Cape Cod White boards have been exposed to years of sun, rain, and snow to create an authentic texture, and then we add a cheerful, pure white paint to inspire a modern beachy vibe. The occasional exposed wood edges add to the laid-back style of this finish.
“After working with other products, I found Weekend Walls to be very beginner friendly,” Sarah said. “The peel and stick made it like I had a second set of hands. It was a great product to work with!”
Are you thinking about starting your own project? No need to wait, Weekend Walls is so simple to order and apply! It’s lightweight, easy to cut, and genuinely the best material out there. Happy DIYing!
